Professor at the University of São Paulo (USP), affiliated with the School of Physical Education and Sport (EEFE/USP), in the Department of Sport, under a full-time contract. She supervises master's and doctoral students in the Graduate Program at EEFE/USP, in the area of concentration "Sociocultural and Behavioral Studies in Physical Education and Sport." She holds a teaching degree (2003) and a bachelor's degree (2006) in Physical Education from the State University of Campinas (FEF/UNICAMP); a master's degree (2006) from UNIMEP, with a CAPES scholarship; and a PhD (2012) from EEFE/USP. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship (2019) at Teachers College, Columbia University (New York, USA), as well as research internships at Cardiff University (Wales, 2015) and Hochschule Fresenius University of Applied Sciences (Munich, Germany, 2016). In 2017, she participated in an immersion program at the Gymnastics and Sports Academy (Viborg, Denmark), focusing on the technical-artistic aspects of gymnastics. She is the leader of the Gymnastics Studies and Research Group (Gymnusp) and a member of the Estesia Group (Research Group on Body, Phenomenology, and Movement). She has been the national coordinator for Gymnastics for All at the Brazilian Gymnastics Federation since 2013, contributing to choreographic compositions for national and international events. She has been a member of the Gymnastics for All Committee of the South American Gymnastics Confederation and the Pan American Gymnastics Union since 2023. Since 2025, she has also been a member of the Gymnastics for All Committee of the International Gymnastics Federation, serving as one of the organizers of the World Gym for Life Challenge (Gymnastics and Dance category) and the World Gymnaestrada (featuring gymnastics, dance, and other practices integrated into choreography). She is also responsible for the Opening Ceremony and Gala Festival (both featuring choreographed performances) of the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships to be held in Rio de Janeiro in August 2025. She currently serves as Chair of the Research and Innovation Committee at EEFE/USP (since 2023). Her research interests encompass the philosophy of sport (phenomenology); choreographic composition; pedagogical processes of teaching and learning mediated by movement; and cultural identities.
