Birthplace: Brazil

I am a Bachelor of Nursing (2019) and PhD in Science (2024) from the Ribeirão Preto School of Nursing, University of São Paulo (EERP/USP), where I currently serve as a Professor of the General and Specialised Nursing Department, in the Clinical Nursing area. My research interests include HIV/AIDS, sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and nursing care in communicable diseases. Throughout my academic journey, I have led longitudinal clinical studies utilizing mixed methods, primarily focusing on the screening of bacterial sexually transmitted infections (STIs) in populations at high risk for HIV infection. I conduct teaching, research, and outreach activities in the field of clinical nursing, emphasizing the training of nurses in clinical competencies for the care of adults with infectious diseases. Since 2014, I have been a member of the Núcleo de AIDS e Doenças Sexualmente Transmissíveis (NAIDST), where I contribute to research and initiatives aimed at promoting sexual health and addressing STIs in healthcare settings. I actively seek to establish and foster international collaborations to enhance nursing education focused on clinical competencies for caring for adults with infectious diseases. I am also fully committed to producing academically rigorous research that has a tangible social and scientific impact. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
