DPhil in International Relations (Nuffield College, University of Oxford, 2015); M.A. in Latin American Studies (University of California at Berkeley, 2010); B.A. in Public Affairs; Major in Journalism (School of Communications and Arts, University of São Paulo, 2007). Fung Global Fellow, Princeton University (2016-2017); Fellow, Summer Program in Social Science, Institute for Advanced Study (IAS-Princeton, 2015-2017). He holds an Associate Professorship in Economics and International Relations at the Armando Alvares Penteado Foundation (FAAP), where he coordinates the Jean Monnet Center for Journalists and Decision-Makers, and a Full Professor of the M.A. in Public Policy program at IDP-SP. Dr. Rodrigues Vieira is the co-chair of the research committee on International Political Economy (IPE) of the International Political Science Association (IPSA), and also teaches at the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV). His research interests fall in the fields of politics and sociology, with a focus on political economy (domestic and international, covering topics related to the emerging powers and intergovernmental organizations, in particular multilateral development banks), foreign policy and issues related to identity and nationalism (racial relations in Brazil and the United States and religion and castes in India). Before being in academia, Dr. Rodrigues Vieira worked as professional journalist. He was between 2019 and 2022 a contributor to UOL, the largest webportal in Brazil, and regularly writes open-eds for the website JOTA. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
