He holds a degree in Medicine from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (2000), a Medical Residency from Hospital Municipal Odilon Behrens (2002) and Hospital Brigadeiro (2005), a specialization in Urology from the Brazilian Society of Urology (2006), a specialization in Endourology and Laparoscopy from the International Endourological Society (2006), a PhD in Oncology from the University of São Paulo (2010), and completed a Post-Doc at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston-Texas (2013). Currently, he is a urologist in Belo Horizonte and a professor in the Graduate Program at Faculdade Ciências Médicas de Minas Gerais. He also serves as a residency preceptor at Hospital Felicio Rocho (BH-MG) and is the director of urology courses at IRCAD-Latin America.
