I am a full professor of Applied Mathematics at the University of Sao Paulo. I hold a Master of Science (Mag.rer.nat) and a Ph.D. (Dr.rer.nat) in Science from the University of Vienna, received in (1991) and (1993), respectively. I also hold a M.Sc. from the University of California (Davis) received in 1989, as well as a Habilitation in Mathematics form the Ludwigs-Maximilians University in Munich, Germany. I am specialised in Mathematical Physics, with emphasis on the General Theory of Particles and Fields, working mainly on the following subjects: quantum field theory, operator algebras, Tomita-Takesaki modular theory.
