Jessé Augusto dos Santos Paixão

Assistant Professor in the Departments of Mechanical Engineering and Civil Environmental Engineering at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio). He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Université de Franche-Comté (Institut FEMTO-ST, France), as well as a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from UNESP (Ilha Solteira, Brazil). He has international research experience at the École Nationale Supérieure d'Arts et Métiers (France), through the BRAFITEC/CAPES program, and at Chonnam National University (South Korea), through the BEPE/FAPESP program. He also worked as a postdoctoral researcher at INSA Lyon (Laboratoire de Mécanique des Contacts et des Structures LAMCOS). His research interests include Structural Dynamics, Structural Health Monitoring, Smart Structures, Vibration Control, Computational Modeling, Signal Processing, and Machine Learning applied to Engineering.
