Raffaele Stasi

I have a Master's degree in Ecology from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) and am currently studying a Bachelor's degree in Physics at the University of São Paulo (USP). My research carried out at UNICAMP, under the guidance of prof. Dr. Mathias Mistretta Pires was interested in understanding how to integrate ecological interactions into models of evolution in geological time. I developed mathematical and computational methods that help intuition about how ecological processes influence the diversification of clades. I obtained my bachelor's degree and licentiate degree in Biological Sciences from USP in 2018. During my major I gained experience in the areas of molecular biology and bacterial genetics, having published an article during a scientific initiation under the guidance of prof. Dr. Beny Spira from the Institute of Biomedical Sciences at USP. I am currently doing an internship at the Biophotonics Laboratory, under the guidance of Professor Dr. Denise Zezell, at the Center for Lasers and Applications of the Institute for Energy and Nuclear Research (CLA-IPEN).
