Associate Professor in the Department of Health and Society (formerly the Department of Maternal and Child Health) at USP's School of Public Health (FSP-USP), with full dedication to teaching and research. He has a bachelor's degree in Psychology, psychologist training and a residency in Collective Health from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Master's degree (2002) and PhD (2011) in Collective Health (area of concentration Human Sciences and Health) from the Institute of Social Medicine of the State University of Rio de Janeiro (IMS/UERJ). She did a doctoral internship at INED (Institut National d'Études Démographiques) - France. She has a post-doctorate from the Center for Population Studies (NEPO) at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP). She worked as a researcher in the Gender, Sexuality and Health Studies and Research Program (IMS/UERJ) between 1999 and 2013. She was vice-coordinator of the Gender and Health WG of the Brazilian Association of Collective Health between 2016 and 2019. She is currently coordinator of the Fertility, Behavior and Sexual and Reproductive Health WG of ABEP (Brazilian Association of Population Studies). She is currently Assistant Director of the FSP. She is the leader of the CNPq research group 'Reproductive Health, Gender and Society'. She has dedicated her studies to issues related to youth, gender relations, family, contraception, sexuality and reproduction from a perspective that integrates qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
