Dr. Fernando B. Sulczewski is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Immunology at the Institute of Biomedical Sciences of the University of São Paulo (ICB/USP). He holds a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences from Centro Universitário Franciscano and a Master's and Ph.D. in Sciences from the Graduate Program in Host-Pathogen Interactions at ICB/USP. He completed postdoctoral training at Stanford University and the University of California, San Diego (USA). His research is dedicated to the biology of dendritic cells (DCs), focusing on the analysis of DC diversity and function in infectious diseases of public health relevance. His research line includes the study of DC development from bone marrow progenitors and the molecular mechanisms that regulate their function during infections, with an emphasis on translational approaches. He has experience in immunology, dendritic cell biology, and both cellular and humoral immune responses. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
