She holds a degree in meteorology from the Universidade Estadual Paulista - Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP) and a PhD in atmospheric sciences at the Institute of Astronomy, Geophysics and Atmospheric Sciences of the University of São Paulo (IAG/USP), with the FAPESP project: Mortality of the elderly related to Heat waves in Brazilian capitals: An analysis of the present and future projections in climate change scenarios. She carried out a three-month research internship at Kent State University (Ohio / USA) (October 2021 to January 2022) in the field of human biometeorology, under the supervision of Dr Scott Sheridan. In 2017 she won the ?Dr. Fabio Luiz Teixeira Gonçalves? for the best work in the area of human and plant biometeorology, awarded by the Brazilian Society of Biometeorology (SBBMet). She has expertise in statistics applied to epidemiology and biometeorology (modeling and meta-analytic processes), analysis and data collection, programming, climate projections and health effects of climate. Her research interests are in the area of human biometeorology, climate change, heat waves, thermal comfort, adaptation and mitigation, and air pollution. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
