Joao Batista Rosolem was born in Fartura, SP, Brazil, in 1963. He received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in electric engineering from the University of Sao Paulo, Sao Paulo, Brazil, in 1986, 1990, and 2005, respectively. Since 1990, is a researcher of CPqD Telecommunication Research and Development Center, Campinas, Brazil. He has been involved in the design and characterization of optical devices, optical sensors, WDM optical system and research in optical amplifiers. Dr. Rosolem is author of over 250 journal and conference papers. He is the holder of 5 U.S. patents, 30 Brasilien patents and more than 13 additional patents are pending. Dr. Rosolem is the coordinator of Sisfóton Integrator Laboratory. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
