Birthplace: Brazil

I received a Biomedical Sciences degree in 2018 from the Biomedical Sciences Institute at the University of Sao Paulo. During undergrad, I spent an year as a research student at the Biology Institute, Westäflische Wilhelms-Universität Münster (WWU), sponsored by CAPES. PhD in Medicinal Chemistry and Chemical Biology at Durham University, funded by the Global Challenges Resarch Fund - Centre for Doctoral Training (GCRF-CDT), where I designed and synthesized hybrid molecules aiming to find new targets and potential drugs for leishmaniasis treatment. Currently, I am a post-doctoral researcher at IB/UNICAMP and I work with the repurposing of kinase inhibitors as potential treatments for leishmaniasis. This project is funded by Eurofarma and FINEP. I have experience with parasitology and protozoology, leishmaniasis chemotherapy, molecular biology, bioluminescente reporters and their use in drug discovery, medicinal chemistry and synthetic organic chemistry.
