Birthplace: Brazil

BSc and MSc in Chemical Engineering and PhD in Biotechnology from the University of São Paulo (EEL-USP). Has experience in the catalysis area, specially in the sub-areas of photocatalysis and catalysis activated by non-thermal plasma. In the first, he studied the development of composites composed of carbonaceous strucutres and several semiconductors (ZnO, TiO2, Nb2O5, Bi2O3, ZnS, g-C3N4) for application in photocatalytic processes of degradation of persistent pollutants using sunlight. Regarding the second sub-area, he studied the oxidation of hydrocarbons under various catalysts (Ag, Pt and Pd) activated by the generation of non-thermal plasma in the reactor bed, aiming to increase the percentage of total oxidation of these hydrocarbons, thus decreasing the generation of monoxides in the process. Currently working as a postdoctoral researcher in the Electrochemical and Environmental Processes Group (GPEA) at the São Carlos Institute of Chemistry (IQSC), under the supervision of Prof. Marcos Roberto de Vasconcelos Lanza, carrying out the project entitled "Photoelectrocatalytic degradation of pollutants (bisphenol-A, sulfamethazine, and 2,4-D) using electrogenerated H2O2 on carbonaceous matrices obtained from sustainable sources" (Fapesp Process 2022/04058-2).
