Marcos Antonio Botelho

Ph.D. in Mathematics at the University of Warwick, UK (1995), Master in Science in Mathematics at Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica (1984) and graduated in Mechanical Engineering at FEG - Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1976). Retired at Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica in june 2013 and currently is partner and director at Labmath Laboratory of Experiences in Mathematics and Cognition (São José dos Campos SP), partner-collaborator at IStudius Administração de Títulos e Valores Mobiliálrios Ltda (São Paulo) and invited professor for the master's program in Quantitative Finance at Sao Paulo School of Economics - Fundação Getúlio Vargas (São Paulo). Backgrounds in research, teaching and technical consultancy in the fields of Mathematics, Engineering and Quantitative Finance. Interests in research and development on Cognition (neuroscience, perception, artificial intelligence, philosophy of mind and psychology of learning), Control Theory (robustness of uncertain systems) e Quantitative Finance (partial differential equations applied to Finance, precification of derivatives, pair trading by statistic arbitrage, stochastic differential equations and stochastic optimization).
