Birthplace: Colômbia

Graduated in Animal Science from the Universidad de Cundinamarca, Colombia. Completed Master's and PhD in Animal Science with an emphasis on Physiology and Animal Reproduction at the Universidade Federal de Viçosa, Brazil. Completed postdoctoral research at the Nuclear Energy Center in Agriculture at the University of São Paulo (CENA/USP), conducting both in vivo and in vitro research on Nutrition and Reproduction in small ruminants, focusing on the study of gossypol, zinc oxide nanoparticles in sheep, and antimicrobial resistance in cattle, in collaboration with the University of Reading (UoR), UK.Currently, she is a Collaborative Researcher at CENA/USP (FAPESP), participating in a project on cellular mechanisms of zinc nanoparticles: an integrated study of ovarian cells, myometrium, and CACO-2 cells in in vitro culture. Additionally, she teaches courses on reproductive biotechnologies and reproductive physiology in domestic animals. She has expertise in sample preparation for microscopy techniques, including the use of optical, inverted, transmission electron, and fluorescence microscopy. She is skilled in cellular biotechnology, with a focus on IVFC (In vitro follicle culture) and MOEPF (Manipulation of oocytes enclosed in pre-antral follicles). She has extensive experience in animal experimentation, sample collection, and laboratory analyses, covering metabolic, hormonal, molecular parameters and antimicrobial resistance studies, significantly contributing to the advancement of scientific research.
