Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Instituto de Biociências (IB)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

Bachelor's and Degree in Biological Sciences from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP, 2008). Master's (2011) and PhD (2015) in Plant Biology at the same university. I worked in postdoctoral internships at UNICAMP and USP, in Brazil, and at the University of Stirling, UK. Currently, I am a lecturer at the Federal University of the Jequitinhonha and Mucuri Valleys in the north of Minas Gerais State, Brazil. I have professional experience in Science teaching and environmental education. My academic research works focus on pollination ecology, with publications on reproductive ecology of orchids, floral anatomy and chemical ecology of pollination, pollination by bees and hummingbirds in the Atlantic Forest. I share the view that people are an active and extremely important part of ecological processes and that understanding the functioning of ecological interactions, including those in which we participate, can and should contribute to building new ways to interact with the environment that are healthier for people and for the biosphere.
