Leandro Lima holds a PhD and a master's degree in Political Science from the University of São Paulo (USP) and a bachelor's degree in International Relations from the same institution. He began his research career as a CNPq scientific initiation fellow at the United States Political Observatory of the National Institute of Science and Technology for Studies on the United States. He also received an Academic Merit Scholarship from USP for an exchange program at King's College London, in the United Kingdom, and a master's scholarship from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP). Professionally, he is currently the Market Access Manager for Latin America and the Caribbean at the UK Government (Department for Business and Trade) and is the lecturer of the modules "Political Risk Analysis" and "Contemporary Brazilian Foreign Policy" at the School of International Relations of the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV RI). He was a senior political risk analyst for Brazil and the Southern Cone at Control Risks Group and worked in the public and government relations areas of Speyside Group and Coca-Cola FEMSA. He dedicates himself to research in Brazilian Foreign Policy, Latin America, Venezuela, Chavismo, Media and International Relations and Discourse Analysis. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
