Yuri Correa dos Reis holds a Ph.D. in Urban Planning and Regional Development from the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism at the University of São Paulo FAU/USP (2022), a Masters degree in Cartographic Sciences (2010), and a Bachelors degree in Tourism (2007), both from the São Paulo State University (UNESP). With a solid academic and professional trajectory, he has over 15 years of teaching experience in the fields of Hospitality, Tourism, and Event Management, working in an interdisciplinary manner to connect territorial planning, public policy, innovation, and sustainable regional development.He has held academic leadership positions as coordinator of undergraduate programs in Tourism (UNOESTE 2011 to 2015) and Event Management (FATEC 2012 to 2017), contributing to curriculum reform, faculty development, and the expansion of partnerships with the private sector and cultural institutions. From 2021 to 2024, he served as the Municipal Secretary of Culture and Tourism for the city of Presidente Prudente (SP) ranked among the top 30 municipalities in Brazils Human Development Index (IDHM) where he led public policies focused on the creative economy, cultural heritage, regional tourism, and crisis management in the cultural sector. Since 2012, he has served as a tenured professor at the State of São Paulos Faculty of Technology (FATEC) Presidente Prudente campus, where he develops teaching, research, and outreach projects focused on experience design, smart hospitality, educational events, territorial governance, and institutional collaboration with local production arrangements. His work stands out for integrating active learning methodologies, technologies applied to visitor experience, and engagement strategies for events of various scales.Throughout his career, he has participated in the design and execution of hundreds of cultural, tourism, and educational projects, many of which aim to develop creative territories, promote sociocultural inclusion, and strengthen local identity. He also has extensive experience in technical consulting (FIA/USP) and as an independent entrepreneur, especially in interinstitutional projects and collaborative management.
