He holds a Bachelor's degree (2007) and a Master's degree (2010) in Agronomy from the State University of Ponta Grossa (UEPG) and a Ph.D. in Agronomy from the same institution, with a sandwich program at The Ohio State University (United States). He completed postdoctoral research at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul and Embrapa Agricultural Instrumentation, including training at CSIRO (Australia). He was a collaborating professor at UEPG in the field of Soil Fertility (2019-2021). Currently, he is an assistant professor in the Department of Agronomy at the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV) and a supervisor in the UFV Graduate Program in Crop Science (rated 6). As the leader of the Sustainable Agricultural Management research group, he conducts studies in the following areas: (i) no-tillage systems with crop intensification for sustainable agricultural production; (ii) soil organic matter and quality in agricultural systems; and (iii) carbon sequestration in conservationist agricultural systems. His research focuses on identifying strategies to promote soil carbon sequestration and adopting agricultural practices that enhance soil quality, aiming for more sustainable and resilient agriculture. He is the author of several high-impact scientific articles and chapters in national and international books, with an H-index of 20 and 1,204 citations (Web of Science), an H-index of 20 and 1,404 citations (Scopus), and an H-index of 24 with 2,143 citations (Google Scholar).
