Conducted postdoctoral research at Yokohama City University (Japan Foundation fellowship) and at the Center for Artificial Intelligence/IBM-USP-FAPESP (FAPESP fellow). Professor at the Department of Sociology at the University of São Paulo, researcher at the Center for the Study of Violence (NEV) and at C4AI (Center for Artificial Intelligence). Coordinator of the CNPq research group Digital Sociology and Artificial Intelligence and of the "Understanding AI" (UAI) initiative at the Institute of Advanced Studies/USP. Coordinator of the Teaching Degree in Social Sciences and vice-coordinator of the Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences at USP. Author of the book "Sociology in Brazil: a brief institutional and intellectual history". Has experience in the field of Sociology, working mainly in the following areas: Social Theory, Sociology of Memory, Sociology of Knowledge Production, Sociology of Violence, Sociology of Suffering and Digital Sociology and AI.
