Mariana Raquel da Cruz Vegian

PhD in Microbiology and Immunology from the Oral Health Applied Sciences Program at the Institute of Science and Technology (ICT) of the São Paulo State University (Unesp) in São José dos Campos, São Paulo (SP). Master's degree in Microbiology and Immunology from the same institution (2018). Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the Faculty of Sciences at Unesp in Bauru, SP (2014). She worked as a Biology teacher at the preparatory courses Prevest, linked to Unesp, and CASDVest. She was an intern at the Lauro de Souza Lima Institute in Bauru, São Paulo, in the area of #8203;#8203;Molecular Immunology (2009) and completed a teaching internship in the subject of Histology and Embryology in the Dentistry course at ICT, at Unesp in São José dos Campos, SP (2017) and in the subjects of Fundamentals of Biology and Applied Microbiology at the Environmental Engineering course at the same institution (2019 and 2021). During her master's degree, she analyzed possible immunomodulatory and bone formation changes due to the association of ionizing radiation and implants, with immunohistochemical analyses and immunoenzymatic tests (ELISA). In her doctorate, she investigated alternative compounds and procedures and redirection of compounds, and their mechanisms of action on microorganisms of the Candida genus.
