He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KULAK), Belgium. He holds a PhD in Biomedical Sciences, with a focus on Science and Technology, completed in 2022 at KU Leuven KULAK. He also earned a Masters degree in Computer Science from the Federal University of São Carlos (2018), with an emphasis on Machine Learning, and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from the State University of Londrina (2016).He has experience in Computer Science, primarily working on the following topics: Machine Learning, Hierarchical Classification, Multi-Label Classification, Multi-Target Regression, Label Ranking, Interaction Prediction, Survival Analysis, Deep Learning, Active Learning, and Weakly-Supervised Learning. His recent projects are situated in the context of precision medicine, focusing on biomedical applications such as hierarchical classification of transposable elements, development of predictive models for the diagnosis of ICU-acquired muscle weakness, longitudinal monitoring of critical patients, and investigations related to renal complications and functions.
