I received the B.E. degree in Computer Engineering (2009) and the Ph.D. degree in Mathematics and Computer Sciences (2012) both within the University of São Paulo. I published the book ?Machine Learning in Complex Networks? with Springer. I am a CNPq Productivity Research Fellow since 2015. Since 2011, I work as researcher and head of division of the Financial Stability Team of the Research Department of the Central Bank of Brazil. I have published papers both in the Machine Learning literature such as in the IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks, Information Sciences, Neural Networks, among others and in the Finance literature such as in the Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, Emerging Markets Review and others. My research interests include machine learning, complex networks, big data, social and economic network analysis, financial stability, systemic risk, banking, and econometrics.
