Professor and researcher working in the Forest Engineering at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) since 2009. Lines of work: Wood Technology and Energy of Forest Biomass. Research and development in charcoal production and recovery of carbonization co-products. RD and technical assistance in conventional plantations and short-rotation cropping of eucalyptus for the production of chips - replacement of heavy oils and diesel in the generation of thermal energy. RD on alternatives to reduce the carbon footprint in industrial thermal processes. It operates in a RDI collaboration network in the synthesis of drugs and products for animal health based on eucalyptus pyroligneous extract combined or not with essential oils of aromatic herbs - antiseptics for post-dipping dairy animals, acaricides (control of ecto and endoparasites for farm animals and pets) and growth promoting antibiotic formulations (pigs and poultry). Advisor of the Graduate Program in Forestry Sciences - PPGCFL. Coordinator of the PPGCFL (from 2012 to 2015 and 2021 - current).
