received the B.Sc. degree in Computer Science from the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil, in 2002, and the M.Sc degree from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Brazil, in 2005. From 2007 to 2008, he was a visiting scholar at the Embedded Systems Research Group, Dortmund University of Technology, Germany. Since 2005, he is working toward the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science at the University of Campinas, Brazil.
