He holds a Ph.D. in History (2016) from São Paulo State University "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" - UNESP/campus Franca, where he obtained his master's degree (2011), bachelor's degree, and teaching license (2008) in History. He conducted post-doctoral research at the University of São Paulo (USP) funded by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) and completed two research internships - during his doctoral studies and afterward, at the post-doctoral level - at the Université de Rouen (France). Between 2016 and 2017, he worked as a substitute professor at São Paulo State University teaching History, Law, International Relations, and Social Work. He is currently professor at the History Department of UNESPAR and coordinator of the MeSA research group (Environment, Health, and Food in History), as well as a corresponding researcher at the Center for History of the Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon. He is a member and founder of "Comer História," a reference in the fields of Public History and Food History in Brazil. Among his publications, notable works include "Animais e homens de um Oriente distante (séculos XII-XIV)" (Edufba, 2020) and "Le Livre de l'Inde de Duarte Barbosa" (2023), published by the prestigious French publisher Éditions Chandeigne. He has experience in the field of History, with emphasis on Medieval and Modern History, Public History, and History Teaching, focusing mainly on the following topics: travel, relations between the West and the East, representations of nature and animals, and food history.
