Anna Sara Levin is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo. She is currently the Director of the Division of Infectious and Parasitic Diseases at Hospital das Clínicas of São Paulo, and Deputy Director of FUSP (Foundation for the Support of USP). She earned her PhD from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo in 1996. She has published more than 250 articles in specialized journals and has authored 51 book chapters and 12 published books. One of her books, Guide for the Use of Anti-infectives and Recommendations for the Prevention of Healthcare-associated Infections, is now in its 8th edition. Initially conceived as a standard reference for the Hospital das Clínicas, it later became a national reference. She has supervised 19 masters dissertations and 25 doctoral theses in the field of infectious diseases. Her work focuses on Medicine, specifically Infectious and Parasitic Diseases, with an emphasis on hospital infections and antimicrobial resistance.
