Wilson Cabral holds a degree in Oceanology from the Federal University of Rio Grande (1996), a Master's degree in Remote Sensing from the National Institute for Space Research (1999), and a PhD in Economics from the State University of Campinas (2003). He completed a Sandwich PhD at the University of London in 2002. Additionally, he conducted postdoctoral research at the Institute of Energy and Environment (University of São Paulo) and at the Sustainability Research Centre (University of the Sunshine Coast). Currently, he is a full professor at the Aeronautics Institute of Technology (Brazil). He has expertise in Water Resources Management and Environmental and Ecological Economics, focusing on topics such as climate modeling and adaptation, environmental and ecological modeling, economic instruments for environmental management, and the economic-environmental analysis of infrastructure projects. Wilson Cabral is the author of the book "Gestão das águas no Brasil: reflexões, diagnósticos e desafios," among other works, and he manages several media channels, websites, and a blog aimed at bridging the gap between science and society.
