Degree in Forest Engineering from the Federal University of Viçosa (1984), Master's degree in Planning and Management of Renewable Natural Resources from the Centro Agronomico Tropical de Investigacion Y Ensenanza (1993) and Ph.D. in Geography from the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2004). Egress from Instituto Florestal de São Paulo as Scientific Researcher level VI, out of the six possible levels. Experience in the area of Forestry Resources and Forestry Engineering, with emphasis on: Creation, planning, management and handling of protected natural areas, conservation units; Evaluation and qualitative and quantitative monitoring of the effectiveness of management of protected and conserved areas; Biodiversity monitoring focusing on forests, birds and terrestrial mammals; Planning, implementation and interpretation of ecological trails; Silviculture of native essences, production of seedlings, quality control and certification; Restoration of degraded areas, restoration of the landscape integrated with the conservation of watersheds; Feasibility studies, restoration of ecological connectivity and implementation of ecological and forest corridors.
