Orleans Silva Martins

Associate Professor at the Department of Finance and Accounting (DFC) and permanent faculty member of the Graduate Program in Accounting Sciences (PPGCC) at the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB). Postdoctoral Fellow in Management Accounting and Financial Reporting from the University of São Paulo (USP), PhD and Masters in Accounting Sciences from the University of Brasília (UnB) Multi-institutional Program UnB/UFPB/UFRN, Specialist in Accounting and Tax Auditing from IESP, and Bachelors in Accounting Sciences from UEPB. He is a full member of the Paraíba Academy of Accounting Sciences (APBCICON) and serves as Statutory Audit Committee Member of the National Association of Graduate Programs in Accounting Sciences (ANPCONT) and of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Communications (IECOM), as well as an Alternate Board Member of Inepar S.A. Indústria e Construções. He is an Associate Editor of the Revista de Administração Contemporânea (RAC) and of Revista Contabilidade Finanças (RCF). He also serves as an Advisory Board Member for financial technology companies, asset management firms, and professional associations. Leader of the Center for Studies in Accounting and Capital Markets (NECMEC/UFPB), he has extensive professional experience in various roles within accounting, finance, valuation, and corporate governance, having worked as an accountant, expert witness, consultant, and board member. His research focuses on accounting, valuation, and corporate governance, with numerous studies published in leading conferences and peer-reviewed journals.
