Graduated in Medicine from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP) in 1989, he completed his residency in Internal Medicine (1990) and Pulmonology (1991-1992) at the same institution. He obtained a Master's degree (2006) and a PhD (2010) in Pharmacology from UNICAMP, with a focus on Cardiovascular Pharmacology. He is certified by the Brazilian Intensive Care Medicine Association (AMIB) as a specialist in Intensive Care Medicine. Currently, he holds the position of Associate Professor I in the Discipline of Internal Medicine and Semiotics at the Department of Internal Medicine at the School of Medical Sciences at UNICAMP, where he is involved in teaching, research, and medical care.He serves as the Coordinator of the Chagas Disease Study Group (GEDoCh) at the School of Medical Sciences of UNICAMP and also holds the position of Head of the Department of Internal Medicine (terms 2022-2024 and 2024-2026). Additionally, he is responsible for managing agreements with the Specialty Medical Clinics (AME) in the cities of Mogi Guaçu, Santa Bárbara d'Oeste, and Amparo.For more information regarding his publications, citations, or recent works, please refer to Google Scholar.
