Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from the Federal University of Alfenas (UNIFAL-MG) with a CAPES scholarship for undergraduate research through the Young Talents for Science Program. During her undergraduate studies, she also received a CAPES scholarship for academic mobility through the Science Without Borders Program at the University of California, Irvine (USA), and completed an internship at Texas AM University, College Station (USA). She holds a Genetics and Molecular Biology MSc and a PhD from the Institute of Biology at the University of Campinas (UNICAMP) with FAPESP research scholarships in both courses. Solid research line in the discovery of new antimalarial drugs and investigation of potential molecular targets and associated resistance mechanisms using in vitro models. She conducted research abroad for drug target deconvolution with a Research Internship Abroad Grant (BEPE-FAPESP) under the supervision of Prof. Dr. David Fidock at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, in New York (USA). She also collaborated on projects developed by the Medicines for Malaria Venture (MMV), a pioneering organization in the malaria medicines portfolio. Author of the doctoral thesis that won the Best Protozoology Thesis Award defended in 2023 by the Brazilian Society of Parasitology. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
