Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Centro de Energia Nuclear na Agricultura (CENA)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

Postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Plant Science at Université Laval, Quebec, Canada. Previously, he conducted postdoctoral research at the Center for Nuclear Energy in Agriculture, University of São Paulo (CENA-USP). He holds a Ph.D. in Science with an emphasis on Biology in Agriculture and the Environment from CENA-USP (20172022) and a B.Sc. in Environmental and Sanitary Engineering from the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA, 20112016), with a study period at the University of Coimbra, Portugal (20122013). His research integrates genomic, ecological, and environmental approaches to understand the role of microorganisms in regulating biogeochemical processes and carbon cycling in aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems. He works at the interface between soil, water, and plants, investigating how microbial communities influence nutrient dynamics, water quality, and the sustainability of agricultural and natural systems in Brazilian biomes. His projects encompass microbial ecology, biogeochemistry, and environmental genomics, employing analytical and computational tools to advance the understanding of ecological processes and ecosystem functionality.
