Holds a degree in Computer Science from the Federal University of Pará (1996), a master's degree in Computer Science from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (2001), and a PhD in Systems and Computer Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2009). She was a Visitor Researcher at the University of California - Irvine (UCI) (2019-2020), funded by the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq). Currently, she is an Associate Professor at the Federal University of Amazonas, where she teaches undergraduate and graduate courses. She has supervised 33 master's theses, 11 doctoral dissertations, and co-supervised 3 doctoral theses in the areas of Software Engineering and HCI/Computer Science. She was elected as a Counselor (2021-2025) of the Brazilian Computer Society. She was elected Member-at-Large of the TCSE Executive Committee (2023-2025). She is the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Software Engineering Research and Development (JSERD) and serves as a member of the Editorial Board for the following journals: Empirical Software Engineering Journal (EMSE), Science of Computer Programming (SCP), and Journal of the Brazilian Computer Society (JBCS). She has experience in the field of Computer Science, with an emphasis on Software Engineering and HCI, mainly focusing on the following topics: UX - User Experience, Usability Evaluation, Experimental Software Engineering, Human Factors in Software Development, and Software Quality. She received the 2023 TCSE Distinguished Education Award (granted by the IEEE Computer Society - Technical Council on Software Engineering (TCSE)). (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
