Graduated on Biological Sciences (Bachelor of Marine Biology) at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and studied abroad for two semesters in 2015 at the University of Queensland (on a scholarship from Science without Borders program). As her final undergraduate project, she characterized the main lineages of zooxanthellae present in Palythoa caribaeorum in the Southwestern Atlantic. During her Masters at the Federal University of São Paulo (Unifesp; PPGBEMC - Graduate Program in Biodiversity and Marine and Coastal Ecology), she investigated the evolution of scleractinian corals based on their mitochondrial genomes, performing part of her research project at the National University of Singapore (on a Research Internships Abroad [BEPE] scholarship, from São Paulo Research Foundation). She currently is a PhD candidate in Zoology at the University of São Paulo (USP), studying diel rhythms in scleractinian corals. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
