Since 2017, Virginia Klausner has held the esteemed position of Coordinator for the Electrical Engineering program at the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture, and Urbanism (FEAU) within the University of Vale do Paraíba (Univap). In addition to her role as Coordinator, she is an active and engaged member of the postgraduate programs in Physics and Astronomy, as well as Biomedical Engineering, housed at the Institute for Research and Development (IPD).Dr. Virginia Klausner's academic journey reflects her commitment to excellence. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering in 2005, followed by the successful completion of a Master's degree in Physics and Astronomy at Univap in 2007. Subsequently, she pursued her doctoral studies, specializing in Geophysics, at the National Observatory in Rio de Janeiro, achieving her Ph.D. in 2012.Dr. Klausner's extensive knowledge base encompasses the field of signal processing, where she boasts substantial expertise in utilizing, developing, and enhancing analytical tools. Her proficiency includes, among others, Wavelet analysis, empirical orthogonal functions, Hilbert-Huang transform, Fourier transform, statistical methods, and signal filtering techniques.Furthermore, Dr. Klausner has gained well-deserved recognition for her significant contributions to the Geosciences. She specializes in Aeronomy and Space Geophysics, and her research endeavors span various domains such as dendrochronology, dendroclimatology, ionosphere, gravity waves, geomagnetism, geomagnetic storms, seismic weather, and comprehensive studies related to space weather.Beyond her scholarly pursuits, Dr. Klausner's dedication extends to community engagement. In 2019, she actively participated in the University Extension Project "Projeto Rondon - Operação João de Barro," a meaningful initiative conducted in Santa Rosa do Piauí-PI.Dr. Virginia Klausner's multifaceted career underscores her commitment to academic excellence, research advancement, and community involvement.
