Birthplace: Brazil

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Chemistry from the Educational Foundation of the Municipality of Assis - FEMA (2010-2013), followed by a consolidated academic trajectory at São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho - UNESP, where I obtained my Master's and Ph.D. degrees in Biotechnology (2014-2020). My quest for knowledge also took me to the University of California, Los Angeles - UCLA, as a visiting researcher (2018-2019), and later to the Terasaki Institute for Biomedical Innovation - TIBI, where I conducted my postdoctoral research (2021).My research focuses on the development of innovative biomaterials, with an emphasis on hydrogels for tissue regeneration and in vitro models. I highlight my work published in the Biofabrication journal, where I presented a bio-printed human skin model on a microfluidic device (organ-on-a-chip), faithfully reproducing the skin's components. Additionally, I have developed advanced biomaterials for muscle regeneration, with controlled release of growth factors, aiming for enhanced healing and cell differentiation. As a research leader at the Terasaki Institute, I have guided a multidisciplinary team in projects ranging from 3D cultivation and microfluidics to minimally invasive cancer treatments using hydrogels. I emphasize my expertise in:3D Cultivation and Microfluidics: Developing microphysiological models and organ-on-a-chip systems for studying pathologies and drug toxicity. Development of Regenerative Hydrogels: Creating hydrogels for wound healing and tissue regeneration, offering non-surgical alternatives to improve patients' quality of life.Minimally Invasive Cancer Treatments: Developing hydrogels for tumor embolization and localized delivery of chemotherapy and immunotherapy, aiming to increase the efficacy and safety of cancer treatments. My international background and diverse experience equip me to make significant contributions to advances in regenerative medicine and disease treatment.
