Marcello Felisberto Morais de Assunção

Bachelor's, master's degree and doctorate in History from the Federal University of Goiás (UFG). Works as a post-doctoral fellow at FAPESP (http://www.bv.fapesp.br/en/pesquisador/695670/marcello-felisberto-morais-de-assuncao/) and FFLCH-USP (2017). He was a visiting researcher at the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Lisbon (2015). Has experience in History, with emphasis on Contemporary History and Theory of History, working mainly in the following subjects: Media, intellectuals, authoritarianism (with emphasis on the experience of the Portuguese and Brazilian New State), Luso-Afro-Brazilian relations (fundamentally in the 20th century), Lusophone Africa, Colonial and Post-Colonial Goa, Colonialisms-imperialism-neo-colonialism, Anti-colonial struggle, Ethnic-Racial Studies, Classical and Contemporary Marxism, and Pierre Bourdieu. Was research analyst of the National Truth Commission between August and December of 2014 (http://cnv.memoriasreveladas.gov.br/institucional-acesso-informacao/equipe.html). Belongs since 2014 to the research group "Portugal and Brazil in the contemporary world: identity and memory" (CNPQ: http://dgp.cnpq.br/dgp/espelhogrupo/2599879888501045). Executive editor of the journal Theory of History (RTH). Member of the group "Pensando Goa: A peculiar library in Portuguese language" (http://goa.fflch.usp.br/).
