Birthplace: Brazil

I am a Ph.D. student in the Sociology program at the University of Western Ontario (UWO), where I also work as a teaching and research assistant. I hold a master's degree in Sociology from the same university (2022) and a bachelor's degree in Social Sciences with a focus on Sociology from the Federal University of São Carlos, Brazil (2020). Currently, I am conducting research with a team on how regulatory bodies in Ontario guide health professionals in ethical challenges, particularly those arising from social and technological changes. During my undergraduate studies, I was a FAPESP scholarship recipient for Technical Training (2018-2019) and Undergraduate Research (2019-2020) within the Sociology of Professions research group. My current academic interests revolve around the study of negotiations among professionals and state, educational, and market actors. Specifically, I am interested in how these negotiations relate to social inequalities and how they contribute to either reproducing or mitigating them. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
