Diego Jhovanny Mariños Rosado

He is currently conducting his postdoctoral research at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), focusing on characterizing the acceleration and suppression of pre-mixed flames from hydrogen-enriched fuels. He completed his postdoctoral research at the Universidad de Concepción (UdeC) in Chile, focusing on the experimental characterization of flames in natural gas and hydrogen mixtures. Both projects were financed by the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq). He is a member of the International Research Group for Energy Sustainability (IRGES). He holds a master's and a doctorate in Mechanical Engineering from the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (FEG-UNESP) and a Bachelor in Energy Engineering from the Universidad Nacional del Santa (UNS). He completed his master's and doctoral studies with funding from the São Paulo State Research Support Foundation (FAPESP) and the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES), respectively. He wrote his doctoral thesis on non-premixed flames of natural gas and hydrogen and has also participated in research involving biomass gasification, combustion characteristics of ethanol and its application in engines, solar energy, and the efficient use of energy in thermal processes (including the steel industry, industrial refrigeration, and thermoelectric plants). He works in the field of Mechanical Engineering, with an emphasis on Transport Phenomena, particularly on topics such as Combustion, Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer and Thermal Machines. He is a co-author of the chapter "Thermophysical Properties" in the book Nano-Refrigerants and Nano-lubricants: Fundamentals and Applications, published in 2024. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
