Lecturer/Assistant Professor at the University of Leeds, School of Psychology. I investigate the functioning of working memory in children and adults, with a focus on attentional processes across development. I am interested in how attention supports the short-maintenance of information in working memory and how maintenance strategies develop in school-aged children. I have a BSc in Psychology and a MSc in Psychobiology from the University of Sao Paulo (advisor: Prof. Cesar Galera), a PhD in Psychology from the University of Fribourg (advisor: Prof. Valerie Camos), and a postdoc in Prof. Nelson Cowan's lab at the University of Missouri. Topics of interest: human cognition, theoretical models of working memory, attention, cognitive development in childhood. Contact: L.SuperbiaGuimaraes@leeds.ac.uk (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
