Cauê Moreno Kersul de Castro Carvalho

Technologist at the Renato Archer Information Technology Center and PhD in Applied Physics from Unicamp. In my doctorate I worked under the supervision of Professor Thiago Alegre on different topics in the area of #8203;#8203;integrated optomechanics, within which we have thermo-optomechanical effects, non-Hermitian perturbation theory and design of 2D optomechanical crystal cavities. This last theme was developed in collaboration with Professor Simon Groeblacher's group at TU Delft, where I worked as a visiting researcher. I also have a master's degree from Unicamp under the supervision of Professor Pierre-Louis de Assis, also in the area of #8203;#8203;integrated optomechanics, where I worked on the development of a platform for measuring optomechanical forces in integrated waveguides. Finally, I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Physics from UFMT, where I was supervised by Professor Daniel Valente in the area of #8203;#8203;open quantum systems. During my graduation, I received a scholarship from the Science without Borders/France program for the period 2016-2015 at the Institution "Université Joseph Fourier", when I carried out an internship at the "Institut Néel", under the guidance of researcher Alexia Auffèves in modeling hybrid optomechanical systems. Currently I am mainly interested in the areas of integrated photonics and quantum optomechanics. I consider myself a complete professional in these areas with transversal experience, ranging from the theoretical modeling and device design phase, through their microfabrication, and, finally, reaching their characterization.
