Agronomist from the Federal University of Lavras (2002), with a master's and Ph.D. in Genetics and Plant Breeding (Federal University of Lavras - 2005; University of São Paulo/ESALQ - 2009). She has worked as a researcher in genomics and forest biotechnology (Votorantim Celulose e Papel; Fibria Celulose) and as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Delaware, studying molecular and environmental factors responsible for the adaptation of tropical maize to temperate climates. She was a visiting scientist at LEPSE/INRAE between 2022 and 2023. Currently, she is a senior researcher at Embrapa/CNPTIA and the principal investigator at the Center for Research in Genomics Applied to Climate Change (GCCRC), established by Embrapa, the University of Campinas (Unicamp), and the São Paulo Research Foundation (Fapesp).
