He is a postgraduate student in Media and Audiovisual Processes at the School of Communications and Arts of the University of São Paulo. He holds a degree in Data Processing Systems from Universidade Potiguar (1991). He has knowledge and experience in the creation and development of applications for Digital TV based on standards such as ISDB-T (DTVi) and HbbTV. He was one of the founders of the Brazilian Digital Terrestrial Television System Forum (SBTVDT) and collaborated with the technical group that structured the Ginga middleware standard, which is used for transmitting interactive applications in the SBTVDT.He created the first interactive advertisement for Brazilian digital TV, with Caixa Econômica (Minha Casa, Minha Vida) as the advertiser. He researched and developed other interactive applications broadcast by MTV Brasil, TV Bandeirantes, TV Globo, SBT, TV Record, and TV Integração (MG), with whom he won the Best Interactivity Application Award granted by the Brazilian Society of Television Engineering (SET) in 2011.He was responsible for developing some of the first applications with Brazilian content for connected TVs (smart TVs) from LG, Samsung, Philips, and Panasonic. His projects included collaborations with TV Pinguim (Turma do Peixonauta), Maurício de Sousa Produções (Turma da Mônica), TV Bovespa, TV Climatempo, TV Bandeirantes, Cinepolis Network, Globosat Channels, TV Canal Rural, and Coca-Cola FM, among others.He is a consultant, creator, and developer of the new streaming platforms for Canal Arte1 and Itaú Cultural, channels dedicated to delivering audiovisual content on art and culture.He has knowledge and experience with standards, regulations, processes, and methodologies related to software development, particularly those specified by the Software Engineering Institute (SEI), World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), Dublin Core Metadata Initiative (DCMI), Object Management Group (OMG), and Sociedade Softex (Mps.Br).He was an evaluator for the Dorgival Brandão Software Quality Award (20042006), linked to the Brazilian Program for Quality and Productivity of the Ministry of Science and Technology. He participated in the BRIPTV project, which involved the development of an IPTV middleware compatible with the ITU-T H.761 standard for the global market, in collaboration with the Laboratory of Technological Integrated Systems at POLI/USP (2009).He is currently a member of the Deliberative Council of SET (Brazilian Society of Television Engineering), where he coordinates a Technical Study Group on OTT Video Streaming. He is also an Ambassador for Campus Party Brazil, one of the worlds largest events on the internet, software development, robotics, maker culture, and digital media.He is a researcher at OBTED (Brazilian Observatory of Digital Television and Technological Convergence), created in 2017 and initially linked to LabArteMídia (CTR-ECA/USP).
