Birthplace: Brazil

Graduated in Bioprocess and Biotechnology Engineering from the Federal University of Tocantins (UFT) in 2016. During her undergraduate studies, she completed internships at the Chemistry and Biomolecules Vaccines Laboratories (LABVAC) at UFT, the Skin Biology Group of the Department of Clinical and Toxicological Analysis at FCF-USP in São Paulo (2016), and the Pharmacotechnology and Pharmaceutical Technology Laboratory at FCFAr-UNESP (2017). Masters degree in Biosciences and Biotechnology Applied to Pharmacy (2019) from UNESP, supported by a CAPES scholarship (08/2017 to 04/2018, code 001) and funded by FAPESP (Process 2017/25190-8). During the program, she was a visiting student at Trinity College Dublin (FAPESP Process No. 2018/26422-2, 2019), focusing on the functionalization of drug nanocarriers for prostate cancer treatment. PhD in Sciences (2025) from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at UNESP, funded by FAPESP (Process 2020/09396-8). During the doctorate, she was a visiting PhD student at the University of Sheffield (FAPESP Process No. 2023/10385-9, 20232024), specializing in nanomaterials and tissue engineering. The research explored the application of photodynamic therapy combined with nanotechnology for targeted drug delivery in cancer treatment. Currently conducting postdoctoral research at UNESP, funded by FAPESP (Process No. 2025/03631-9), focusing on the development of a skin cancer-on-a-chip model to test antitumor compounds incorporated into biomaterials for topical application. The project integrates microfluidics, biomaterials, and tissue engineering with the goal of creating a more physiologically relevant preclinical platform while reducing the reliance on animal models.
