Graduated in Dentistry from the Federal University of Ceará, with a sandwich undergraduate period at the University of Sydney, Australia, through the Science Without Borders Program. Holds a Masters and a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the Ribeirão Preto Medical School, University of São Paulo. Serves as a scientific reviewer for international journals in the fields of Pharmacology, Pain, and Neuroscience. Conducted a research fellowship abroad at Yale University (USA) under the supervision of Prof. Stephen Waxman, focusing on voltage-gated sodium channel mutations as risk factors for the development of chemotherapy-induced neuropathic pain. In 2023, was nominated by the Brazilian Academy of Sciences to participate in the 72nd Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting: Physiology and Medicine. Currently serves on the Early Career Network/Education Committee and the Early Career Contributor Board of the Pain Research Forum of the International Association for the Study of Pain, contributing to science communication initiatives on pain research. He is a postdoctoral researcher at the Ribeirão Preto Medical School University of São Paulo (FMRP-USP), where he investigates the contribution of voltage-gated sodium channels in TrkB-positive sensory neurons to the pathogenesis of chemotherapy-induced neuropathic pain. His research interests include pathophysiological mechanisms underlying chronic neuropathic pain induced by antineoplastic agents, with a focus on neurometabolic alterations and neuronal plasticity.
