Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP). Instituto de Biologia (IB)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

PhD in the Genetics and Molecular Biology Program (2018 2024, with one-year leave during the pandemic) at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), awarded a Direct Doctoral from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP).I hold a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences (bachelor's and teaching degree) with emphasis in Health Biology from Gama Filho University (2007) and specialization in Genetics from the National Cancer Institute (INCA) | Ministry of Health (2011). Currently, I perform Institutional Development (ID) functions as a Level VI Research Assistant fellow at the Occupational and Environmental Toxicology Laboratory and Cancer Surveillance (LabTox) | Coordination of Prevention and Surveillance (CONPREV) of INCA | Secretariat of Specialized Health Care | Ministry of Health, where, in addition to bench activities in the project for implementing methods to assess cytogenetic damage in populations occupationally exposed to chemical agents, I participate in project conceptualization, writing, seminars, preparation of technical-scientific materials and manuscripts. My professional experience encompasses projects in animal and human genetics, employing classical cytogenetic tools and, primarily, molecular biology techniques such as conventional and high-throughput sequencing for molecular taxonomy, phylogeny, population genetics, and polymorphism and variant assessment approaches. Throughout my scientific career, I have been awarded fellowships from the Rio de Janeiro State Research Foundation (FAPERJ) and the Foundation for Scientific and Technological Development in Health (FIOTEC) at the Oswaldo Cruz Institute, Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (2007 2010), working as a biological collection curator and conducting identification of small mammal reservoirs of zoonoses through cytogenetics and molecular biologyforensic methods that established long-lasting partnerships; and ID fellowships serving as Visiting Specialist and Research Assistant at various levels at INCA (2012 2018, 2020 2025) in the Tumor Genetics and Virology Program, performing metagenomic analyses, participating in other projects related to genetic counseling for hereditary cancer types, conducting advisory activities related to the National Institute of Science and Technology (INCT) for Cancer Control through maintenance and updating of the online platform (http://www.inct-cancer-control.com.br; currently deactivated) and other technical and administrative support activities. During my doctorate, I participated in the eco-epidemiological project of Chagas Disease (CD) in northeastern Brazil to assess the genetic structure of CD vectors, comparing mitochondrial markers from Sanger sequencing with high-resolution markers (SNPs) obtained through next-generation sequencing (NGS).
