Birthplace: Brazil

PhD in Genetics and Molecular Biology Program at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) and was awarded a Direct Doctoral FAPESP scholarship from 2018 to 2020. I have a degree in Biological Sciences with an emphasis in Health Biology from Universidade Gama Filho (2007) and a trainee in Genetics from the National Cancer Institute (INCA) / Ministry of Health. Currently working as Research Assistant Level VI in the Environment, Work and Cancer Technical Area of the Cancer Prevention and Surveillance Coordination (Coordenação de Prevenção e Vigilância do Câncer; CONPREV), INCA, in the project IMPLEMENTATION OF A METHOD TO ASSESS CYTOGENETIC DAMAGE IN POPULATIONS EXPOSED OCCUPATIONALLY TO CHEMICAL AGENTS. My professional experience mainly includes projects in Animal and Human Genetics, using molecular biology tools, such as conventional and high-performance sequencing, for molecular taxonomy, phylogeny, and population genetics. In addition to activities at UNICAMP and INCA, I curated the genetic collections of small wild mammals at the Instituto Oswaldo Cruz, Fundação Oswaldo Cruz (FIOCRUZ) between 2005 and 2010 and identified potential reservoirs of zoonoses using cytogenetic and molecular techniques.
