Holds a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF) and a Ph.D. in Sciences with an emphasis on Industrial Biotechnology from the School of Engineering of Lorena at the University of São Paulo (EEL-USP), including a research internship at the Leibniz Institute of Agricultural Engineering and Bio-economy (ATB) in Germany. Completed postdoctoral research in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of São Paulo (FCF-USP), and at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Biosustainability, Technical University of Denmark (DTU Biosustain), in Denmark. Currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the Federal University of ABC (UFABC), affiliated with the Center for Natural and Human Sciences (CCNH). Her research focuses on Pharmaceutical and Industrial Biotechnology, with an emphasis on fermentation technology, biomolecule purification, and bioprocess optimization. She has experience in innovation, including patent filings and participation in a PIPE/FAPESP project in partnership with the biotech startup SynBD, aimed at developing pharmaceutical biomolecules through genetic engineering, covering upstream and downstream processing, regulatory aspects, scale-up studies, and techno-economic feasibility. Her current research involves the production of bioactive molecules using microbial platforms and antibody fragments for the development of functionalized nanoparticles for targeted therapies.
