Rodolfo de Jesus currently works as a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the China-Brazil Joint Laboratory for Space Weather (CBJLSW). He graduated in Electrical Engineering (2005) from the Paraíba Valley University (Universidade do Vale do Paraíba - UNIVAP) and in Physics (2024) from Lutheran University of Brazil (Universidade Luterana do Brasil - ULBRA). Master's (2008) and PhD (2012) in Physics and Astronomy from UNIVAP. In 2011, he participated in the Space Weather Summer School at Boston University in the United States. He carried out postdoctoral research at UNIVAP between 2012 and 2015, funded by FAPESP, and at National Institute for Space Research (Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espacais - INPE) between 2015 and 2023, funded by CNPq and CAPES. Between October 2023 and April 2025, he worked with the group responsible for LIDAR and meteoric radar at INPE, as a CNPq PCI fellow. During this period, he developed computational codes in Python to analyze ionosondes, meteor radars, and LIDAR data using the standard wave analysis tools (e.g., Lomb-Scargle periodogram, Fourier analysis, wavelet analysis, digital filter, and least mean square method). He works in the field of Geosciences with an emphasis on Geophysics, working on the following subjects: space weather, geomagnetic storms, magnetosphere-ionosphere coupling, ionospheric irregularities, sudden stratospheric warming, stratosphere-ionosphere coupling, and dynamics of the mesosphere and low thermosphere (MLT). He has experience in processing and analyzing data from different equipment (e.g., ionosondes, meteor radars, resonant LIDARs, magnetometers, Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), and satellites). Reviewer of important scientific journals since 2012. And, he published about 50 scientific papers. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
