Graduated in Biological Sciences at UFMG, postgraduate in the Official Master Biodiversity: Management and Conservation, at the University of Barcelona (UB), Spain, and Master in Ecology at the National Institute of Amazonian Research - INPA. Clarice has researched various areas of ecology throughout her academic experience and today she is focused on landscape ecology, mammal ecology and on environmental compensation and offset mechanisms. She has experience in environmental consulting as project manager, environmental analyst and mastozoologist. She is currently a PhD candidate in the Ecology Program at the University of São Paulo (USP), where she is developing the project entitled "Environmental compensation as a conservation mechanism: from methods to scenario testing based on the new forest code".
